telling work, with belly shot
Yesterday in our weekly staff meeting, I made the big announcement. I had kind of wanted to wait until after our OB appointment just to make sure everything is okay in there, but I was a leetle concerned that people might be starting to figure it out. Mostly because of this:
It’s weird–it looks way bigger to me when I look in the mirror (or look down, for that matter) than it does in this picture. Clearly, since the baby is the size of a lemon right now, that is mostly padding we’re looking at. But still.
Funnily enough, now that he knows I’m knocked up, the custodian at my museum is convinced he can tell I’m having a boy, because I am “carrying high.” I told him that it’s just my fat that is being carried high right now, but there was no convincing him. It’s kind of hilarious. I might not tell work people the sex even when we know, for a while anyway, because there is already discussion of a betting pool.

side note – so awesome that your work atmosphere is as supportive as it is. uno is waiting to tell her co-workers until tri. 2 begins, and we worry they'll be weird about it. hmmm…
That's great! Great shot & you look wonderful. Definitely Officially Pregnant. I am always amazed by how gender-focused people are. What a happy little place for Bao to hang out. Fantastic.
