happiness
I am kvelling for the ladies at eeney meeney miney mommy and gayby rabies. So, so many congratulations to them on their wonderful, and wonderfully-timed, news! Congrats also to better than a kitten on the birth of their unbelievably beautiful son.
I am also pleased to report that my nausea appears to have subsided completely (knock wood) and that my appetite for things other than bland carbs is back. I think we are even having curry for dinner, and the thought does not make me want to seek the nearest trash can. Progress! Still having a bit of trouble sleeping, though, and the pattern I was so sure of before doesn’t seem to apply anymore. Oh well.
My little potbelly continues to grow. I think I just look bloated; it doesn’t look like I’ve got a baby in there or anything. The new weird symptom I’ve been having is these sharp stabby pains just above and to the left of my pubic bone. Does anyone know what this is? Is it this mysterious “round ligament pain” I’ve heard mentioned?
Tomorrow we head to Connecticut to spend the holiday with Mama Jai’s family (it’s official: these are our new blog names. Mama Jai and Mama Bea. I was really hoping for brilliant and witty and perfectly epitomizing us, but have resorted to spelled-out initials. Hopefully naming our child will be a bit easier). I hope everyone has a great holiday if you celebrate it and nice days off if you don’t. Mama Jai and I don’t, usually, but this year she made a Christmas card:
Aww. The bao has a 8.4mm Christmas tree in there. Happy holidays!
